BEHIND CLAYCRAFT?
The birth of Claycraft is the culmination of several years of sandstone practice.
I started ceramics as a child. For around ten years, I approached clay as a means of sculpting. I then took a break from my practice, then I started again a few years ago, this time working on utility pieces.
In 2019, I decided to professionalize my know-how.
THE BEGINNING OF THE STORY ...
Claycraft is the desire to create contemporary ceramic pieces with a unique character. Each one being marked by the imprint left by the hand, the whole creating a unity. The objects are essentially worked in sandstone, a dense and robust earth whose qualities I appreciate.
All pieces are made by hand in my workshop.
